The Ambassadors of Hope Dinner & Auction took place on March 24th and if you missed it this year, you missed quite a night!
LaDainian Tomlinson shared his incredible story, one of our foster/adopt families gave their testimony on stage, and over $204,000 was raised for hurting children in North Texas. Talk about blessings!
At this year’s event, we had a few familiar faces in the audience. Faces of some of the children we’ve taken to camp over the years. Faces of teens who started out as campers and are now returning in the summer to volunteer as staff. One such camper in attendance this year took a moment to send a note to our directors, Darren & Melinda Edwards, as a thank you for what she witnessed as a guest at dinner:

The Dinner
“This dinner isn’t just any dinner. This dinner was about the kids that have been abandoned and neglected by their parents and taken into CPS. Then they went (to) a new family. Soon or later they would go to Royal Family Kids, which is an amazing, wonderful, and loving place. Everytime I go and when I get a counselor they feel like a mom. Everytime I go I always learn something new, and also I always ask myself “How am I going to be a better Christian?” And all those years I have been there it has been so amazing. Thank you Darren and Melinda for all your fun activities. Love your friend, B”
On another note… As RENEW weekend approaches (April 28-29) for members of The Hills Church, we kindly ask that when you choose to give later this month, please choose to designate your gift to OFC. We already have over 200 children registered for Royal Family this summer, and it’s because of your generosity we’re able to grow and accommodate these numbers each year. THANK YOU for all that you do to support us and the kids we serve!
